Toni Woods Maignan is a B.A. candidate in Economics with a Special Concentration in Business Management at Columbia College, Columbia University. She is a John W. Kluge Scholar in the Columbia Undergraduate Scholars Program who will graduate this spring. Last spring, she studied in the School of Economics at the Università Bocconi in Milan, Italy. In her freshman and sophomore years, she worked as an intern at WE ACT for Environmental Justice in West Harlem building membership and fundraising for the nonprofit grassroots organization. One of her favorite topics is economic equity along racial and gender lines. She will spend the next two years in New York City as a Legal Analyst before matriculating into law school.
