Serene Lau

Serene is a consultant with interests in health care, entrepreneurship, and community/international development.  She concurrently works with the executive director at XX in Health, an initiative of the healthcare startup accelerator, Rock Health.  Previously, Serene specialized in hospital payment review and revenue cycle management at Triage Consulting Group, where clients included single and multi-facility health systems.  Serene is a volunteer copywriter for Kopernik, an Indonesia-based technology marketplace bringing innovation to rural communities.  Her other experiences include volunteering as a business communications tutor at Year Up, a national skill-building program for urban young adults, and interning at the Center for Responsible Business at the Haas School of Business.

Serene is fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).  She studied abroad at the University of Hong Kong, and holds a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Public Health from UC Berkeley.
