Samir is a sophomore at Stanford University studying Management Science & Engineering and Computer Science. He most recently worked on the White House Council of Environmental Quality to execute the Biden-Harris administration's progressive environmental justice agenda.

He is the founder and chairman of Youth Climate Action Team Inc, a global 501(c)4 climate justice advocacy nonprofit composed of over 2,000 youth across every inhabited continent, and has organized climate demonstrations across the nation with groups including Sunrise Movement. Samir is internationally acclaimed for his environmentalism, being named the 2021 Gen-Z Leader in Energy and Sustainability by Leaders in Energy, a Conversationalist 2021 LIST Honoree, and an Old Navy Imagine A Greener Future Winner. He's spoken at the Harvard Institute of Politics, Stanford School of Medicine, Commonwealth Club, and global climate events and has worked alongside the White House, UNEP Executive Director, and EPA Administrator. Samir's work has been featured in CNN, The Teen Magazine, Energy Central, The Stanford Daily, and public radio.

Beyond his advocacy, Samir has conducted research at both Harvard and Stanford on policy-relevant sustainability topics and published work pertaining to the mortality impacts of renewable energy.
