Montserrat is a BA candidate for Physics & Mathematics at Columbia University, exploring the intersection of exact sciences, spatial architecture, and human behavior. Her background in spatial design and environmental remodeling revealed how built form influences social dynamics, demonstrating that physical constraints directly shape human interaction. To interrogate these structural relationships through a rigorous quantitative lens, Montserrat turned to statistical physics and complex network theory. Her research adapts these mathematical models to evaluate social phenomena, turning complex abstractions into measurable metrics for systemic equity and social impact.
