Maricel is a writer, copywriter, and translator with over 10 years experience in the field of communications. While at the University of Puerto Rico her studies focused on the relationship between stress and aggression and how these factors affect human development and behavior. During this time, she also focused on developing her creative writing skills that eventually lead to a career in translation.
A member of the American Translators Association (ATA) and the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Maricel focuses her spare time in creating books for children, where she likes to emphasize the importance of keeping a balance with nature. Her volunteer work includes writing for Prensa Comunitaria in Puerto Rico, working at the university’s stress clinic, and offering writing workshops for children.
