Jen Potocnik is a first-generation college graduate from Cleveland, Ohio. She has 20+ years of experience in operations, and deep expertise in organizational management, human resources, and strategy. Prior to joining PEG, Jen worked as a consultant and contractor in EdTech, federal transportation, and legal information consulting. Jen is mission-driven and has worked at the Columbia University’s Earth Institute’s Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory and the School of Social Work’s Global Health Research Center of Central Asia. She’s had stints at St. Augustine University of Tanzania, IPM (with their project partners in Kenya) and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Cleveland.
Jen was an Americorps volunteer at the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Portland, Oregon providing food and resources to individuals experiencing homelessness, drug dependency, and mental health needs. This ignited her desire to be connected to the mission of the organizations she has worked with, leading her to this role with PEG.
Outside of her work with PEG, Jen facilitates and teaches mindfulness to adults and children through her organization, Awareness of Mind. In her spare time, she volunteers for voter outreach initiatives, takes Spanish lessons and can be found hiking, walking or biking in and around New York City.
